Sales Analysis

Anybody can give you data.

The problem is that you don’t need data. You need information.

Data is a list sales that already happened. They’re history. Dead and gone. Yesterday’s news.

Information is a snapshot of your sales pipeline, showing that:

  • One is very large but will actually lose money
  • Ten are small and of average profitability with an 85% chance of closing.
  • Three look great, but your salesperson is overly optimistic and you’ll see Elvis having dinner with Superman at Scotch ‘n Sirloin before you see a dime.
  • Two are hugely profitable but currently have only a 65% chance of closing, and will require more attention from upper management.

A little information about the future will make you more money than a truckload of data about the past.
